Got to NJ the 27th around 7:15 PM. This is what has happened so far (assume every activity is with Joseph)...

The 27th:
1. Pick up - Joey picked me up from the airport with one really beautiful (and beautifully scented) rose, a wheelchair and his polaroid camera. He snapped a shot of me in the chair, rose in hand and the sunlight was coming in pretty nicely. He rolled me down to baggage claim and people stared but I don't care, it was romantic and made me feel at home again.
2. Art Show - Went to the art show at the high school after I landed. Janine was around the hallway corner and let out a loud shriek! That also made me feel at home. I saw Nicki Nessine, the Bowles', Mrs. Cohen and all the art teachers. It seemed like a lot more but I guess that's it. I didn't get to see much artwork but it was still fun!
3. Nevada Diner - Met up with Marcelo, Amy and Donna. Alicia joined shortly after I got there. It was so great to witness how conversation is back home. In Arizona, every group of people I've hung out with, whether we're all just meeting each other or they all know each other, no one laughs louder than socially accepted, touches arms when agreeing or laughing, or talks at the same time. I really miss just regular conversation. I didn't even know how to participate but that could have been because M, A and D hang out all the time. But yeah, it might sound weird, but I loved the half hour long discussion about what dessert Marcelo should order.

the 28th:
1. Grandpa's - Visited Grandpa's and Joe's Aunt Carol was there so it was nice being with them. We watercolored some statue Joe found and of course, Joe's was the best, but they all turned out nice. It made Aunt Carol happy to see G-pa using the watercolor set. Joe painted a walrus and I'm keeping it.
2. Up - Saw the midnight showing of "Up" which was surprisingly sad. But you really can't go wrong with Pixar. At some parts I forgot I was wearing 3D glasses until they killed the side of my head! Anyway, very good movie. You should see it.

the 29th:
1. Brookdale's 100th Birthday Bash (with Alicia and the rest of the Mac ladies) - A lot of speeches, but good speeches, especially Dr. Autore (not sure if I'm spelling that right). Saw and conversed with: Mrs. Scott (2nd grade), Mrs. Rizzo (3rd grade), Mrs. Faller (6th grade/my favorite teacher EVER), Mr. Mayer (gym teacher and soccer coach), Mrs. Nicoletti (secretary), Mrs. Dye, Mrs. Vetrano and David, Karin Kuo, and Mr. Lombardi (computer teacher). There were probably more, but seeing Mrs. Faller was the ultimate best! They dug up the time capsule that they dug up and buried again in 2000. This time I didn't get to see what was taken out or what was being put in but it was still nice.
2. High School - Joe presented his artwork to the WORLD! (world=Mrs. Reed's art class) I was a wittle assistant. He did a really good job. Everyone was impressed and I was super proud of him! La La Love :)

The night is still not over. We're probably going to Applebees for dinnah and then going to play pool with Romero and mystery person. Long term, though, I'm in a terrible situation. Rudy asked me to work for Samir and I listened to my parents and said yes. But Deanna gave me my job back at Gencarelli's so I don't know how this is going to work out especially since I don't want to work weekends! Agh...

Erin McCarley - Pitter Pat

A quote from Anna Karenina that I dig:

"Do tell me something amusing but not spiteful."
"They say that that's a difficult task, that nothing's amusing that isn't spiteful, but I'll try. Get me a subject. It all lies in the subject. If a subject's given to me, it's easy to spin something round it. I often think that the celebrated talkers of the last century would have found it difficult to talk cleverly now. Everything clever is so stale..."

And this was written in the 19th century, go figure.

Little Jackie - The Stoop

Sorry I've been nonexistent for about a week. I started a new blog, it's a lil' baby so don't get hyped. Just yet.

I had a lot to say before, but for now I'm just going to listen to the music Joseph sent me and finish watching One Tree Hill (I missed the fucking season finale! So I've been watching the first season on thewb.com - second season will be on there starting May 25!).

I lead a slow, pathetic life as of right now.

The Postal Service - Sleeping In

Sorry I'm such a gay and am posting all of these pictures. I'm just getting extremely excited to come home and having longer than two weeks with my boyfriend (and of course my friends, but you get the idea). I took my last final today and I really can't believe that my first year of college is over. It seems impossible to me. I feel like I just moved out here. But at the same time, this year did go by fairly slowly when I think of meeting Brittany for the first time, Halloween, my birthday, etc. Anyway, it's been my freshman year of college and I'm not sure if this was what I was expecting to find at ASU or if this is how I envisioned college in general, but it is what it is. And despite what people thought would happen when I went to school a country away, we are still together, happy and in love!

And now for my favourites; the kishes!

HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY ALICIA!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TOO!

Port O'Biren - I Woke Up Today

Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day. Have a nice day.

Feist - Lonely Lonely

"Fashion is a form of self-expression for every person. There is no choice. Everyone must participate."

CocoRosie - Animals

Joey showed me this. Not sure if it's real, but it's a very awesome idea if it's not.

Steve Miller Band - Jungle Love

Just a few thoughts before I start my day:

1. I have 1 exam, 1 quiz, 1 paper and 2 finals left to take while Joe's last day of freshman year is today. This is kind of...stupid.
2. I've pretty much given up. I think it's really dumb that my last final is on Wednesday the 13th and my last day of class is tomorrow. Does that make any sense?
3. Brittany is completely moved out. Maybe not completely, I mean she still has one or two things laying around. But I changed mattresses and now sleep where she used to. It's so much more convenient.
4. My mom might sleep over Wednesday night. Woo!
5. 23 days until I land in dA diirty jErz!
6. Macy doesn't want to be roommates next year anymore because she's afraid it will "ruin our friendship". Why did I have to sign the lease 2 hours before Kristin called to tell me her offer was a GO! This sucks.
7. I have to go take a final and an exam now.
8. My texts are not being delivered to Joe's and only Joe's phone and it's really pissing me off.

Straylight Run - Existentialism On Prom Night

Back in junior year, I played the shit out of this song. Printed the lyrics and wrote them on my wall. Never listened to any other song by them, still to this day, which I'm not suggesting is a good idea, I'm sure I'd like them. Anyway, I would just listen to the song and once in a while tear up, but for some really strange, really coincidental, really unfortunate reason had the want to hear the song again after two years. So for the first time I looked it up on YouTube. What a terrible idea. If I wasn't already hating life enough today, I had to see the Hoboken Path Station, graffiti in NJ and a little girl dancing. Fuck this place. I just want to go home. Why did this happen.

She & Him - Sentimental Heart

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS (even if it's so totally Cheese Magee):
